Types of Matrix

Introduction to Matrices -
Let us see the introduction of matrix. A matrix consists of a group of individual number, quantities or items of information. The horizontal lines are termed as rows and vertical lines are known as columns. Matrix can be used in different domains. It can be mostly applicable for mathematics and science. Let we see the types of matrix as follow.

TYPES OF MATRICES
On the types of Matrices .. there are about three types of matrices. let me also help you understand them with the examples.

Row Matrix:

A matrix having a single row is called a row matrix. e. g. [1 3 5 7]
Column Matrix:A matrix having a single column is called a column matrix. e.g. .
Square Matrix:

An m x n matrix A is said to be a square matrix if m = n i.e. number of rows = number of columns.
For example: is a square matrix of order 3 × 3.
